Santa Maria della Grazie and Da Vinci’s Last Suppe
Convent chruch and 15th-century Santa Maria della Grazie is home to the famous painting of Leonardo Da Vinci, the Last Supper. Although the building was bombed in World War II in 1943 but the painting was still alive. It represents the scene of The Last Supper from the final days of Jesus when Jesus announces that one of his Twelve Apostles would betray him. To see the painting of the Last Supper you have to pass through the entrance on the left of the church in the Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie.
Duomo Cathedral in Milan
Situated in Piazza Duomo, Milan s main square, Duomo is famous as one of the largest Catholic cathedrals in the world, second only to the Cathedral of Seville. It is 157 meters long and has space for 40,000 people. 135 spires and 3200 statues adorn the duomo roof and you can take an elevator to the rooftop for a close-up view as well as magnificent views of the city below.
